A Christmas We Will Never Forget!

Wow! What a busy Holiday for our family! I cannot believe Christmas has already come and gone by so fast! It was such a fun filled Holiday, most of all it was so fun watching Buster tear open his presents!
Our Holiday started out at TJ's parents on Christmas Eve. It is just chaos with all the grandkids running around and we wouldn't have it any other way! Each grandkid gets pajamas from their Grandpa and Grandma and their presents! Buster was really spoiled he opened new clothes and an awesome new toy, it's a hippo that bounces plastic balls and plays music! Buster loves it!
Next, we headed over to my parents to get dessert with my family! When we arrived we found out we missed out on the BIG surprise at dinner! My sister Madison is pregnant with baby number 2! (So excited!) She is due on June 15th and they do not know what they are having yet! Congrats!!!

After the family left we had a little gingerbread house contest! We put Buster down to bed at my parents and the competition was on! TJ and I were on a team against my Mom and Dad, and then my sister Hadley and brother Bradley were the 3rd team! Of course TJ and I were the winners!
The next morning we woke up and did presents with our family. We headed to my parents at 9 am to open presents with them! We open our last gift all together and in the box we see a beach ball, towels, flip flops, and a piece of paper that reads...

Hintze Family International Vacation
June 6-13, 2012
Barbados, West Indies

Included on the front is a beautiful picture of a tennis court on the beach and the 2 pictures below!

We all immediately start screaming with excitement! Our family has talked about going to Barbados for probably 10 years! The excitement was short lived, however, when we look at Madison and she is crying and repeating over and over I have ruined Christmas! We quickly realize her news from the night before and her due date is June 15th! We however will reschedule but the date is unknown at the moment! We are so excited, I can't wait to play some tennis on the beach!

Next, we went into my Grandpa and Grandma Maxfield's house for a quick visit before we went to TJ's parents at 2pm! While I was feeding Buster at dinner I felt a little tooth sticking out... his first tooth came in on Christmas. We were shocked because he has not been fussy at all, we had no idea he was even close to getting a tooth!

And finally to top things off, my sister Hadley got engaged!!!! I told you it was a Christmas we will never forget! Here is her beautiful ring...
I am so happy for Cam and Hads! Congrats, we love you! It was such a great Christmas, we are so blessed to have such a great family and especially to have such a sweet baby boy! Here are a few more pictures from the big day!

All Grown Up!

I can't believe it! My little 6 month old is growing up, so fast, right before my eyes! Last week he sat up in the shopping cart all by himself. He absolutely loved it, he was reaching for everything in sight and was people watching like you wouldn't believe! (I guess he already knows the good entertainment that can be seen at Walmart!)

The Wind Storm 2011

WE SURVIVED THE WINDSTORM OF 2011! This was unbelievable, winds were up to 92 mph in West Bountiful and 102 mph in Centerville. I could not believe the amount of damage it had caused, it was as if a small tornado had come through Davis County! Early estimates on ksl.com are estimating $8 million worth of damage to Centerville alone.
The winds started very early, around 5 am, on December 1st. We woke up to things hitting our windows and garbage cans tumbling around our yard. Luckily we were blessed and had no damage to our house. Our neighborhood however was not as lucky. Fences were gone, shingles were off, trees were completely blown over, and the house under construction across the street from us lost half of their newly installed hardie board.
We ended up with 4 extra garbage cans and a port-o-potty in our yard, we also were without power for almost 24 hours! We spent the night at my parents house in Centerville, somehow their little square of a neighborhood did not lose power at all! Here are some pictures from the big day!

This is in Walmart parking lot! Almost all of their cart returns were mangled

The next photos are from ksl.com, these were photos that people had sent in all over Davis County!

Crazy Time Of Year!

I know, I know it has been way too long since my last post! Our baby boy is now 6 months old! It was official on December 1st, which is definitely a day the people of Davis County will never forget! (I will post more on that later.) I can hardly believe it, he is growing so fast. Here are some pictures from his 6 month photo shoot! My good friend Jen, from Jen Herem Photography, did an amazing job (as usual) I will post more as soon as I get the rest!

At his 6 month check-up he was healthy as can be! He weighed in at 17 lbs. 7 oz. (50%), he measured 26 3/4 inches (63%), and his head was 44.2 (63%)

Here are some of his favorites at 6 months-
I think his most favorite thing, besides laughing at his dad, is his walker! He can steer that thing like you wouldn't believe and he loves to chase Dutchess!
He absolutely loves bath time! He gets his arms and legs going and by the time we are done there is water everywhere!
He loves the stroller. He sits back and kicks his feet every once in a while.
He loves the green turtle at his Grandpa and Grandma Hintze's house! He will sit and stare and play with that forever!
I have also noticed what I can tell are tantrum tendencies! We have not had a full melt down yet but I can see that one could be coming shortly. The other day he threw his toy on the ground and just started screaming until I handed it back to him!
Troy is also sitting up really well and rolling over all the time. He belly laughs all day long especially at his dad! We have caught him scooting himself on his stomach to get a toy, it may not be too long until he is crawling!

Playing Catch-Up

This post will I'm sure be quite long and I apoligize in advance. I have to play catch-up for the last year and 7 months! There has been A LOT that has happened and I mainly just want to catch up on a few of the biggest memories!

April 17, 2010
TJ and I were married in Salt Lake City, Utah. We had a beautiful ceremony and a gorgeous reception at the Salt Lake Hardware Building. Here are a few pictures from the big day!

This was as you walked in the front entrance! Willow and Wildflowers did an amazing job with the floral arrangements, they were gorgeous!

The theme of the wedding was chandeliers! We painted 20 plus old brass chandeliers black and hung them all over the Hardware Building

One of the most entertaining aspects of the night was the Photobooth!

We had Italian Ice and popcorn for all of the guests.

Le Croissant Catering set up a delicious dinner for after the ceremony and then a gorgeous buffet for the reception. The reception menu: fruit, salad, hamburger sliders, milkshake shots, and cupcakes... delicious!

The amazing cakes were done by Julie at Layers. I believe the flavors were cookies'n cream, chocolate, and vanilla. Not only did it look fabulous they were delicious too!

Our wedding was better than I ever could have imagined! Thank you everyone for all of your help! (Espeically my parents, TJ's parents, Stacie for her countless hours making the invitaions and all other family and friends!)

San Francisco Summer 2010
Last July we took a fun weekend trip to San Francisco with some friends and a couple family members! Our group was TJ and I, my brother and sister in law, Michael and Stacie, Phil, Beckie, Olivia, and Max Winston, and Randy Horiuchi and his wife Frances and Maddy. Of course our main agenda and the reason for the trip was to go to the Giants baseball games. They were playing the Dodgers for a 3 game series and the Giants won 3-0. Our group was divided about half and half with Giants and Dodgers fans, it made for a great trip, especially for the Giants fans!

Besides going to baseball games we managed to get some sight seeing in, shopping, and we also went to Sausalito for a day and did some shopping and ate some delicious seafood!
Of course the firefighters (Chief Jensen, Captain Winston, and Firefighter Henderson) of the group had to stop and talk to the local firemen and also get a picture with the truck!

I don't know that there is a better view at a stadium!

September 2010
You would think that finding out you were pregnant would be a significant date to remember but I cannot for the life of me remember! All I know is it was sometime the end of September and I took a test without TJ knowing and it was positive! I was so excited, I went to Barnes and Noble that same day and bought a book entitled "My Guys Can Swim!" I wrapped it up and presented it to TJ later that night! He was so excited too, it was one of the greatest days!

Our first glimpse of our little man! This was at 9 weeks.

This was me at 24 weeks in February. This was when I realized I couldn't hide the baby bump any longer!

We had my adorable new nephew Dylan, he was about 4 months at the time, wear a shirt to tell my family we were expecting! We were out to dinner for my birthday one day in November and Dylan had a jacket on. When my mom took off his jacket this was the shirt he was wearing!

Our New House
We starting digging for our house December 27th and we moved in May 19th. Just 2 weeks before the baby was born! Talk about cutting it close! Here are a few pics of the progress from beginning to end!

I have to say how thankful I am for a husband that worked so hard to get us moved in before the little man came! I love him! I also have to say a big thanks to our families they were down here almost every night painting! (and I really have to thank TJ's captain at his station, his company Northstar Builders did an amazing job building our house!)

Troy Buster Henderson
We were so blessed to have this sweet little man come into our lives on June 1, 2010 at 2:40pm. It was a little bit of a struggle but he finally managed to come out healthy and happy! He weighed 7lbs 10oz and was 21 1/2 inches long!

His first day here

2 days

Getting ready to leave the hospital

2 Weeks
(I think these were one of my favorite pj's)

(check out those feet haha!)

1 Month

2 Months
4 Months

Right from the start he was such a good baby! He has such a sweet personality and loves to smile! He most definitely loves his dad. The minute he even hears his dads voice he gets a huge smile on his face!

I cannot believe how fast they grow! 4 months

This is on Halloween just a day before he turned 5 months! He was the cutest Lion ever!

At his 4 month check up Troy was 15 lbs 12 oz and was 26 inches long! He was right around average on the charts, which was a little surprising to me!

A few milestones I need to note are:
Troy first rolled over from front to back at 3 1/2 months
Troy absolutely loves his walker and has since he was 3 months
Troy belly laughs all the time
He smiles no matter who is talking to him or what time of the day it is
Troy rolled over from back to front at 4 1/2 months

5 Month Favorites
Laughing, eating his hands and toes, covering his head with a blanket to sleep, bananas, screaming and then laughing at himself, smiling, holding his toys, cruising around the island in his walker, and chasing Dutchess in his walker!

He is such a sweet addition to our lives! It has been such a great blessing to be his parents.
We Love You Buster!!!
