Playing Catch-Up

This post will I'm sure be quite long and I apoligize in advance. I have to play catch-up for the last year and 7 months! There has been A LOT that has happened and I mainly just want to catch up on a few of the biggest memories!

April 17, 2010
TJ and I were married in Salt Lake City, Utah. We had a beautiful ceremony and a gorgeous reception at the Salt Lake Hardware Building. Here are a few pictures from the big day!

This was as you walked in the front entrance! Willow and Wildflowers did an amazing job with the floral arrangements, they were gorgeous!

The theme of the wedding was chandeliers! We painted 20 plus old brass chandeliers black and hung them all over the Hardware Building

One of the most entertaining aspects of the night was the Photobooth!

We had Italian Ice and popcorn for all of the guests.

Le Croissant Catering set up a delicious dinner for after the ceremony and then a gorgeous buffet for the reception. The reception menu: fruit, salad, hamburger sliders, milkshake shots, and cupcakes... delicious!

The amazing cakes were done by Julie at Layers. I believe the flavors were cookies'n cream, chocolate, and vanilla. Not only did it look fabulous they were delicious too!

Our wedding was better than I ever could have imagined! Thank you everyone for all of your help! (Espeically my parents, TJ's parents, Stacie for her countless hours making the invitaions and all other family and friends!)

San Francisco Summer 2010
Last July we took a fun weekend trip to San Francisco with some friends and a couple family members! Our group was TJ and I, my brother and sister in law, Michael and Stacie, Phil, Beckie, Olivia, and Max Winston, and Randy Horiuchi and his wife Frances and Maddy. Of course our main agenda and the reason for the trip was to go to the Giants baseball games. They were playing the Dodgers for a 3 game series and the Giants won 3-0. Our group was divided about half and half with Giants and Dodgers fans, it made for a great trip, especially for the Giants fans!

Besides going to baseball games we managed to get some sight seeing in, shopping, and we also went to Sausalito for a day and did some shopping and ate some delicious seafood!
Of course the firefighters (Chief Jensen, Captain Winston, and Firefighter Henderson) of the group had to stop and talk to the local firemen and also get a picture with the truck!

I don't know that there is a better view at a stadium!

September 2010
You would think that finding out you were pregnant would be a significant date to remember but I cannot for the life of me remember! All I know is it was sometime the end of September and I took a test without TJ knowing and it was positive! I was so excited, I went to Barnes and Noble that same day and bought a book entitled "My Guys Can Swim!" I wrapped it up and presented it to TJ later that night! He was so excited too, it was one of the greatest days!

Our first glimpse of our little man! This was at 9 weeks.

This was me at 24 weeks in February. This was when I realized I couldn't hide the baby bump any longer!

We had my adorable new nephew Dylan, he was about 4 months at the time, wear a shirt to tell my family we were expecting! We were out to dinner for my birthday one day in November and Dylan had a jacket on. When my mom took off his jacket this was the shirt he was wearing!

Our New House
We starting digging for our house December 27th and we moved in May 19th. Just 2 weeks before the baby was born! Talk about cutting it close! Here are a few pics of the progress from beginning to end!

I have to say how thankful I am for a husband that worked so hard to get us moved in before the little man came! I love him! I also have to say a big thanks to our families they were down here almost every night painting! (and I really have to thank TJ's captain at his station, his company Northstar Builders did an amazing job building our house!)

Troy Buster Henderson
We were so blessed to have this sweet little man come into our lives on June 1, 2010 at 2:40pm. It was a little bit of a struggle but he finally managed to come out healthy and happy! He weighed 7lbs 10oz and was 21 1/2 inches long!

His first day here

2 Weeks
(I think these were one of my favorite pj's)

(check out those feet haha!)

1 Month

2 Months
4 Months

Right from the start he was such a good baby! He has such a sweet personality and loves to smile! He most definitely loves his dad. The minute he even hears his dads voice he gets a huge smile on his face!

I cannot believe how fast they grow! 4 months

This is on Halloween just a day before he turned 5 months! He was the cutest Lion ever!

At his 4 month check up Troy was 15 lbs 12 oz and was 26 inches long! He was right around average on the charts, which was a little surprising to me!

A few milestones I need to note are:
Troy first rolled over from front to back at 3 1/2 months
Troy absolutely loves his walker and has since he was 3 months
Troy belly laughs all the time
He smiles no matter who is talking to him or what time of the day it is
Troy rolled over from back to front at 4 1/2 months

5 Month Favorites
Laughing, eating his hands and toes, covering his head with a blanket to sleep, bananas, screaming and then laughing at himself, smiling, holding his toys, cruising around the island in his walker, and chasing Dutchess in his walker!

He is such a sweet addition to our lives! It has been such a great blessing to be his parents.
We Love You Buster!!!
